Despite facing many challenges Tailevu Naitasiri FC head coach Tagi Vonolagi is confident his side will raise some eyebrows at the the 2023 Digicel Fiji FACT which starts tomorrow.

Vonolagi said the team had been facing difficulties with ground availability for trainings.

“The preparation has not been too great for us because of the ground unavailability. We don’t have any ground now, we will be using the Dilkusha Boys School ground as the Ratu Cakobau park is closed for us,” he said.

He said the facilities available to the team had not been to great standards.

“We have been training at Vunimono Primary as well but the conditions have not been too great.”

However, he said the team is working on its fitness ahead of the tournament.

“We are building only on our fitness. I know that fitness will carry us through. The boys have been playing together for long and just a little bit of team formation and playing style, with fitness will get the job done for us.

“We are not there to make numbers but for sure we will turn some heads around,” Vonolagi said.

The Sky Blues will open their 2023 Digicel Fiji FACT campaign against Nadi at 1.30pm tomorrow.
